It's a BAND DAY today.
SL training day camp.
#1 Shown a video on a japanese junior high school band.. Its seventh-graders (sec1s) had only been in the band for 3 mths then they went for competition (also their 1st public performance) & got GOLD award. It shows the whole process beginning fr choosing instruments to day of performance.. There were scenes depicting their good attitude towards band, nv grudging their conductor or seniors when they got scolded.. but juz worked diligently. They got their deserved results. =)
Some points to rmb..
. A horizontal (betw peers) & vertical (betw juniors & seniors) relationship has to be built.
. Seniors should always put themselves in juniors' shoes to understand & teach better.
. Seniors must EXTREMELY PATIENT.
. Always ask yourself, "Was today's sectional good? Did I improve?"
#2 All SLs called up to talk abt their section problems & give comments/advice.
Yea, talked abt juniors & stuff.. Had quite alot of useful advice fr mr tan.
Learnt lots abt other section juniors as well. =)
Need to remind mr tan to bring Treasury of Scales
book after EOYs for horn section to improve CHORDS. =D
Footnote :
1) Collect blazers & ties fr graduating members b4 dec hols..
2) Get tailor down to take measurements of sec1s to make band uniform.. must be made by end of the year..
That's about it. ^^
What Your Soul Really Looks Like |
You are very passionate and quite temperamental. While you can be moody, you always crave comfort. You are not a very grounded person. You prefer dreams to reality. For you, it's all about possibilities. You believe that people see you as a bit small and insignificant. People pay more attention to you than you think. Your near future is all about change, but in very small steps. The end of the journey looks far, but it's much closer than you realize. For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust. |
You Are 28% Obsessive |
You tend to have a few obsessive thoughts, but you generally have them under control.Sometimes your worries keep you up at night, though they usually don't interfere with your life. |
