Xinfony VII was superb!
LOVED IT.
oh man.
it's the BEST concert i ever had, serious.
this year we were really ambitious.
play all the hiong songs. hahaha.
k i shall blog abt the whole process! heh.
whyyyy did we have to go for lessons in the morning?!
crazeh!
whole morning worrying abt that solo in American Elergy.
whenever i thought of it i felt gaowei cuz i screwed it up during rehearsal the night before concert.
so my whole morning was gaowei-ness. =(
reached vch at 1.30pm!
rehearsed from 2-4.30 with a bit of overrun. lol.
i DIDNT screw up that solo during rehearsal!
yay.
it all rounds down to mental preparation.
and knowing how u made the mistake, and correct it.
the previous night when i screwed that solo, i realised it was b'cuz i was so scared i put in too much air speed, so mispitched, became a higher note.
so i was conscious of how much air speed i put in from then on. no more, no less.
next up to rehearse was JUNIOR BAND.
that Wonka's Welcome Song was so CUTE LAH.
hahaha.
and then ALUMNI BAND.
ok, every year the alumni band comes in to play for our concert and the alumni horn section never fails to amaze me each time they play.
nice tone, great phrasing, loud yet with really beautiful tone with very little cracking.
i love hearing them play.
shant talk abt the details of changing, eating and repairing torn shoes.
=)
