SOW is fantastic.

Every event that has happened has been great. BMT, SOW, Pst Tan's service, Zone D hangout..everything. Somehow there's just this energy when I step into church. Even if I'm feeling down/depressed/emo, once I walk into church, my spirits lift and I'm just cured of every ailment life has given me. It's a privilege to be in Heart of God church. What God has given me, the world can never give. ((:

Yes. Back to my point about SOW. (:
1st lesson was taken by our own instructor --- Lynette!
She is just so experienced. Many many stories of the worship team, the rehearsals.. it's just so cool and exciting! Imagine the scene in the Artistes' Room where everyone's scrambling, screaming, grabbing for make up. FUNNY. (I think I've seen that scene before during new year service when orchs was performing.) Besides the stories, I learnt some stuff that can be applied as well. And Lynette asked at the end: "Did you guys learn anything today?" (: Oh man, it's a yes!! Yes yes yes!! :D

2nd lesson was a lecture by Yong Hui.
And I tell you, I never knew he was so FUNNY. Oh mann. And he is really really super knowledgeable about music ok. I learnt so much more about the circle of 5ths than I did in my 4 years in band. What with "Fatty can go down and eat" and "Both eagles and dragons got claws". HAHA. And the way he said it. We had a great laughing session. It's veh veh veh fun. (:
I had this senior in band called Leon and he was my section leader and the one who taught me alot of music stuff. I realised Yong Hui and Leon's teaching style is quite similar. Must say that people who are crazy about music teach about the same way huh. But Yong Hui's lesson is more zai! We learnt basic theory + harmony + circle of 5ths + "anatomy of the voice" + intervals etc etc etc, IN JUST ONE AND A HALF HOURS. Haha. No more arguments. Zai anot.. hahah. He told us that he was telling Roy that he wanted to complete teaching harmony during this lesson. And Roy was like "you siao ar". Haha. It's super funny. Even Hong Rui said that their drums lesson is super funny too --> Hong Hwee's the instructor.

Pastor Lia showed us a video. A very meaningful video. Exclusive to only BMT and SOW people. It's such a privilege to be serving in the house of God, even though we may not start off glamorous. Even though it's a lot of discipline and toil. Even though we will get corrected and discipled. But correction isn't rejection. (: Like Garrett so aptly and humorously put it, discipleship is a ship we're all on. We sink, we sink together. We sail, we sail together.

Well I already typed alot and I need to get off this chair and go study. (:
